Despite Pinnacle’s poor BBB ratings the company is making strides to boost its customer service and its perception in the alarm marketplace. They, like many other companies, are offering the latest GE Wireless Alarm systems. Pinnacle has had some issues with shady salespeople and false promises in the past. They now boast a “consultant verification” where a customer can enter a Pinnacle representative’s corporate ID number to verify that they actually work for Pinnacle. A good faith effort by Pinnacle towards its customers, but they’ll need to exhibit such behavior on a more consistent level to move up the rankings.

Pinnacle Security is based on Orem, UT and provides residential home security and surveillance systems. The company was founded in 2001 and now operates within all 50 states with three monitoring centers. Pinnacle prides itself on being “more than just a security system”. Providing monitored phone line alarm systems with two-way voice capabilities as well as cellular monitoring Pinnacle offers a wide range of products. One product offered by Pinnacle that is difficult to find with other companies is their image sensor. The image sensor has a built in motion sensor that allows the device to take a picture of potential intruders – or your cat!

Pinnacle Security also offers wireless home automation products via Alarm.com’s emPower service. Like many other alarm companies Pinnacle offers its customers remote access to their home alarm system with mobile apps and online computer access. The company’s affiliation with Alarm.com for home automation and mobile access makes Pinnacle a better choice than many other companies.

There are some mixed reviews out there about Pinnacle Security when it comes to their customer service. While many of their customers seem to be happy with the system and service complaints continued to pile up in places like the Better Business Bureau. Pinnacle has since responded to these complaints and put out a statement letting their current and potential alarm customers know that they are dedicated to quality customer service. Keeping contact with your current and potential customers and letting them know you have a renewed energy when it comes to customer service can go a long way, yet Pinnacle needs to continue their efforts to prove to the alarm system consumer that their dedication to quality customer service in a long term goal.

There are many other companies out there providing similar equipment and services for similar prices that provide higher quality customer service at this time. Yet Pinnacle is a company to watch. They’ll likely move up the rankings as they continue to focus on extending more quality customer care.

Each alarm system package from Pinnacle Security is professionally installed. Pinnacle partners with General Electric for their home security equipment and offers a variety of packages. Prices for the alarm system packages are not viewable on their website. So you’ll need to contact a Pinnacle representative to find out current pricing and availability in your area.

Pinnacle’s “Mobile Control Package” offers the GE Simon XT alarm system with cellular monitoring with an advertised starting price of $299 while a basic “Essential Package” starts at $199. You can find lower prices on equipment with other companies, but the professional installation service is a plus. Monthly monitoring prices with Pinnacle will vary based on equipment package, monitoring service selected and optional features.
