Broadview Security Review
Alarm System Review:
Positives:many alarm options, remote monitoring, cellular monitoring
Negatives:high monthly fee for cellular, only offer broadband monitoring with some services
Broadview is the home alarm company that was formerly known as Brinks. Broadview became Brinks’ home security division, which was later purchased by ADT. Broadview had a pretty decent reputation and good rapport with its customers before merging with ADT – a big reason they kept the branding on a number of their dealers. Although the people at the top are different the people serving you as an alarm customer are all the same. Broadview is another pretty good option in home security with a lot of features and alarm equipment to choose from.
Broadview Security Review
Broadview Security is the home security division of Brinks Security and was recently purchased by and merged with ADT Security. The Broadview name has been in the industry for over 25 years and has become a trusted name in home security. Broadview supplies home and business security solutions to customers across the country and now provides services to the same customer base as ADT. When purchasing a system from Broadview you’re ending up with ADT in the end – as all of Broadview’s advertised products are sold by ADT, including their alarm systems and SafeWatch Video system.
ADT and Broadview were two of the largest alarm companies in the United States, and now that they’ve teamed up together the home security arena has a monster. Depending on your feelings about “big companies” ADT/Broadview do a pretty good job of providing up to date technology and quality customer service. Like our ADT review your pricing and experience will vary based on which dealer you go through.
How is Broadview Security’s Customer Service?
It’s difficult for a company to stay in business for more than 25 years if they have poor customer relations. Broadview is certainly not known as the most customer friendly company on our list but certainly works hard to keep their customers happy.
With millions of customers nationwide a company as large as Broadview or ADT is going to have its fair share of unhappy campers – but in the end the company does a solid job of providing its alarm customers with quality service and quality products.
How much does it cost to use Broadview Security?
Broadview’s pricing is essentially the same as ADT’s pricing. Depending on how you are monitored, whether it’s by phone line, cellular or broadband your cost could vary. The up-front cost of the alarm from Broadview will also differ based on technology (wireless vs. hard wired). Broadview offers a basic alarm set up for $99 – with special incentives and contract length obligations.
Many companies offer similar equipment and some more competitive pricing than Broadview – but it’s tough to argue that a company like Broadview is not one of the best in the business. Sure, they’re the “big guys” but many customers feel better knowing they’re with a company who has served several million customers. Broadview/ADT representatives can be contacted in your local area to find out pricing and equipment options for your home security needs.
